Job Title: Executive Pastry Chef

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Executive Pastry Chef to join our team at Ontario Inc.

Job Summary:

The Executive Pastry Chef will be responsible for leading our pastry arts team and overseeing the preparation and presentation of high-quality pastries and desserts in our restaurants and bakeries.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory.
  • Analyze operating costs and other data to optimize pastry production and presentation.
  • Develop and implement new pastry recipes and techniques to enhance our menu offerings.
  • Supervise and train pastry chefs, cooks, and other kitchen staff to ensure high-quality food preparation and presentation.
  • Plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities to meet customer demand and quality standards.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and excellent customer service.
Requirements:
  • College diploma or equivalent in pastry arts or a related field.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a pastry chef or in a related role.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy loads.
