Job Overview

As a key player in financing and business development, you will leverage your strong relationship skills and network to identify opportunities to accelerate the growth of Canadian Technology Sector entrepreneurs and develop business opportunities in financing and consulting.

  • Meet with entrepreneurs, clients, and prospects in the technology sector to discuss their business needs and identify potential issues, provide advice, and recommend BDC services.
  • Develop and execute a marketing plan aligned with the Business Centre's objectives and technology growth strategy to drive growth and retention of current clients and acquire new ones.
  • Analyze, negotiate, and present high-quality loan proposals, exercising sound judgment on credit.
  • Engage with the local business community through effective networking within associations and chambers of commerce to develop business relationships and secure references.
  • Requirements:
    • Bachelor's degree in commerce or business administration.
    • Experience working with technology companies to understand their unique needs and match solutions to their stage of development and specific technology.
    • Connections with experts in the technology ecosystem and ability to help SMEs access resources based on their needs.
    • Ability to provide outstanding customer service and build long-term relationships with clients and business contacts.
