About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a skilled Facilities Engineer to join our team at ExxonMobil Corporation. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshooting and Consulting: Provide expert technical support to operations and maintenance personnel to resolve facility design and operating problems.
  • Engineering and Development: Prepare engineering designs and specifications for facility upgrades and replacements, ensuring compliance with industry codes and company standards.
  • Facility Optimization: Conduct studies to identify opportunities for improvement and develop engineered design packages for execution.
  • Project Management: Provide engineering guidance and oversight to ensure successful execution of facility upgrades and maintenance projects.
  • Mentorship: Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance and support to ensure their professional development.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Process Engineering from a Canadian accredited university.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in facilities and surveillance engineering, with a strong technical background and a valid Class 5 driver's license.
  • Registration: Registered with APEGA as an engineer-in-training or a professional engineer.
  • Skills: Strong technical skills, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Industry Experience: Previous experience in the oil and gas industry, with a preference for cold weather engineering experience.
  • Commitment to Safety: A strong commitment to safety and a proven track record of maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with diverse groups.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment and contribute to a positive and inclusive team culture.
