Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and provide expert consultation on facility design and operational challenges, collaborating closely with operational and maintenance teams.
- Develop engineering designs adhering to industry regulations and corporate standards for facility enhancements and equipment replacements, including piping systems, pumps, and various process apparatus.
- Conduct assessments on potential improvement initiatives, culminating in comprehensive design packages ready for implementation.
- Offer engineering support during the execution of facility upgrades, working in tandem with maintenance personnel and contractors.
- Receive direct mentorship from licensed professional engineers.
Candidate Profile
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Possession of a valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving history.
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Process Engineering from a recognized Canadian institution (or equivalent).
- Registered with the appropriate engineering regulatory body.
- A robust technical foundation in facilities and surveillance engineering, with a minimum of three years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications/Experience
- Prior experience in the industry, particularly in cold climate engineering, is highly regarded.
- A strong commitment to safety practices both on-site and off-site.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling the establishment of positive relationships with diverse groups.
- Ability to operate with minimal supervision while thriving in a collaborative team environment.
