Position Overview:

We are seeking a distinguished Sales Director for our Tru by Hilton Oshawa, Ontario. This role is pivotal in shaping our sales strategy and driving revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development and execution of comprehensive sales strategies to enhance hotel profitability.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with key clients to secure group business, encompassing room sales, food and beverage, and catering services.
  • Participate in networking events and maintain productive relationships with local community representatives and trade organizations.
  • Conduct site tours for potential clients to showcase our facilities.
  • Maintain an organized customer database to track interactions and sales progress.
  • Prepare and manage contracts while ensuring timely follow-ups with clients.
  • Oversee the departmental budget, monitoring sales activities to meet or exceed financial goals and reporting any variances to management.
Candidate Profile:
  • A seasoned Sales Director with over 5 years of experience in hotel sales.
  • Familiarity with sales processes and systems from major hotel brands such as Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Wyndham, or Hyatt.
  • Proficient in industry-standard software including CI/TY, FOSSE, and MARSHA.
  • Proven track record of achieving and surpassing sales targets.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working autonomously.
  • Possess strong initiative, perseverance, and analytical capabilities.
  • A collaborative team player who demonstrates professionalism and integrity.
  • Willingness to engage with guests, including availability on weekends.
  • Excellent command of English, both written and verbal, with strong communication skills.
  • Engaged and authentic, ready to prospect, sell, and manage accounts to enhance revenue for a premier hotel.
