Role Overview:

The Project Engineer will report directly to the Plant Manager and engage in a hands-on engineering capacity, collaborating with various departments such as maintenance, production, quality assurance, supply chain, technical operations, and R&D. This role is pivotal in identifying and implementing process enhancements and capital projects within our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management:
    • Collaborate with stakeholders and process owners to define, develop, and oversee improvement projects with clear objectives and timelines.
    • Negotiate with and manage contractors to ensure project timelines are met while adhering to budget constraints.
    • Prepare comprehensive capital project request reports for engineering initiatives.
    • Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
    • Act as Project Manager for process improvement initiatives, ensuring alignment with technical support within Bimeda.
    • Ensure that all project criteria, including design specifications, safety standards, budgets, and timelines, are met throughout implementation.
    • Establish protocols for project governance, including regular meetings and status updates.
  • Process Management:
    • Oversee improvement processes for both operational and capital projects.
    • Conduct process and data analysis to enhance technical solutions.
    • Contribute to technology advancement within operations, leveraging industry knowledge.
    • Review and recommend modifications to standard operating procedures based on equipment capabilities and operational expertise.
    • Work collaboratively with internal teams during the development and execution of process improvement and capital projects.
    • Ensure adherence to Bimeda's operational practices, including documentation, communication, and health and safety protocols.
    • Guarantee that all project activities are planned, communicated, documented, and executed to achieve desired outcomes.
    • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, preferably in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Project management certification is advantageous.
  • Experience in managing electro-mechanical contractors.
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is beneficial.
  • Proven track record in project management and process enhancement.
  • Able to handle multiple projects simultaneously with competing deadlines.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing abilities.
  • Proficient in leading within a team environment.
  • Capable of devising practical and innovative solutions for diverse technical challenges.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in a multi-disciplinary project team setting.
