Offset Press Operator

We are seeking a skilled Offset Press Operator to join our team at Krystalite Gt Inc. As an Offset Press Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining our offset printing presses to produce high-quality prints.
Key Responsibilities:- Advise the press crew on product specifications and material requirements to ensure accurate production.
- Mount plates or cylinders and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal print quality.
- Review job orders to determine production time, colour sequence, and quantities required.
- Fill ink fountains and control colour and viscosity to achieve desired print results.
- Set up the press and operate at slow speed to check samples before proceeding with the production run.
- Monitor the press run for quality using the computer control console and make adjustments as needed.
- Remove and clean plates and cylinders at the end of the press run to maintain equipment cleanliness.
- Direct the press crew to set up, operate, and shut down the press safely and efficiently.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with the press crew.
- Basic knowledge of printing processes and equipment.
- Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for persons with disabilities.
- Provides diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees.
- Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth, Veterans, Indigenous people, and visible minorities.
We offer a permanent position with 30 to 40 hours of work per week and a welcoming work environment that values diversity and inclusion.
