Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada ICBC Full time
Position Title: Corporate Security Operations Analyst

Employment Type: Permanent Full Time

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Corporate Security Operations Analyst to join our esteemed team. In this crucial role, you will play a significant part in ensuring the safety and security of our organization's physical assets, personnel, and information systems.

Your primary responsibilities will include fostering a secure workplace environment and protecting company property by managing provincial security operations, executing our Head Office Emergency Response Plan, and performing comprehensive site risk and threat assessments.

This role requires a strong technical background, exceptional attention to detail, and a steadfast commitment to maintaining a secure and efficient workplace.

Reporting directly to the Corporate Security Manager, you will be a key player in our security initiatives.

We are looking for a candidate with prior experience in facility security operations who is meticulous and adaptable. You should be a proactive and solution-focused individual with sound judgment, capable of anticipating needs and independently managing a wide range of administrative tasks and projects.

You will be responsible for:

  • Coordinating security personnel management and emergency responses across various locations.
  • Overseeing security contracts, budget management, and invoicing.
  • Conducting interviews and selecting security officer candidates, as well as managing their work schedules.
  • Responding to inquiries related to incidents, access control modifications, and alarm code requests.
  • Executing the Head Office Emergency Preparedness Plan and leading all emergency preparedness and response activities.
  • Conducting site audits, surveys, and risk assessments, providing recommendations to mitigate vulnerabilities.
  • Developing and implementing internal training and awareness programs on corporate security.

To excel in this position, several years of relevant experience in a continuous learning environment is typically required. You should possess a solid understanding of applicable acts and legislation governing the private security industry, community policing programs, and crime prevention initiatives.

Familiarity with investigation methods, evidence collection, and preservation standards is essential. Knowledge of emergency planning regulations and safety acts at both provincial and federal levels is also required.

Additionally, you should be well-versed in current security technologies, including CCTV, access control, and intrusion alarm systems, as well as relevant corporate applications and databases.

We value a proven track record in security, risk management, and an understanding of emerging security threats and mitigation strategies. Strong teamwork and service orientation are crucial.

At ICBC, we are committed to ensuring that the car insurance system serves all British Columbians effectively. Joining our team means becoming part of a talented, diverse, and inclusive workforce dedicated to serving our customers and community.

This position offers a hybrid work model, requiring a minimum of 10 days per month at your primary office location, with the remaining days being remote within British Columbia.
