Restaurant Assistant Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Restaurant Assistant Manager to join our team at Opus Restaurant and Bar. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our restaurant, providing exceptional customer service, and leading a team of dedicated staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operations Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, including inventory management, staff scheduling, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring that every guest has a positive dining experience.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of staff, providing guidance and support to ensure they are equipped to deliver excellent service.
  • Performance Management: Conduct regular performance reviews, providing feedback and coaching to help staff improve their skills and performance.
  • Compliance: Ensure that all staff are aware of and comply with health and safety regulations, as well as provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations.
Requirements:
  • Education: College/CEGEP diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a restaurant management role.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and strong leadership skills.
