Position Overview

William Osler Health System is excited to collaborate with the New Grad Guarantee program, providing a unique opportunity for recent graduates to join our nursing team within a clinical setting. This role adheres to the standards established by the College of Nurses of Ontario and our esteemed health system.

Role Responsibilities

As a New Graduate Nurse, you will:

  • Receive comprehensive orientation and training tailored to the clinical environment.
  • Develop and execute individualized nursing care plans for patients and their families.
  • Monitor and report on patient progress while working in conjunction with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Apply the knowledge and skills acquired during your academic training to enhance patient-centered care.
Qualifications
  • Must be registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Experience in Acute Medicine/Surgical Units is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Proficient in problem-solving, conflict resolution, and decision-making.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification is required.
  • Strong organizational and critical thinking abilities.
  • Exhibit a motivated and positive attitude while respecting others.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to quality and patient-focused care.
  • Open-mindedness towards innovation and change.
  • Embody the core values of Respect, Excellence, Service, Compassion, Innovation, and Collaboration.
  • Willingness to travel and work across various hospital locations as needed.
Work Schedule

This position may involve day and night shifts, including weekends and holidays, in accordance with operational needs.
