About the Role

The Community Inclusion Support Worker plays a vital role in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities to access meaningful daytime activities in the community.

This position requires a strong ability to provide guidance, support, and teaching in all areas of living, while also enforcing boundaries and expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support individuals with developmental disabilities to access community activities and services
  • Provide guidance and teaching in areas such as daily living skills, social skills, and behavioral support
  • Enforce boundaries and expectations while promoting a supportive and inclusive environment
  • Collaborate with families and caregivers to ensure seamless support
  • Model appropriate behavior and professionalism at all times
Requirements
  • Community Support Worker certificate or approved equivalent
  • Previous experience in community inclusion or behavioral support is an asset
  • Ability to relate to families and caregivers
  • Ability to support individuals with developmental disabilities and mental health issues
  • Valid Class 5 BC driver's license and use of personal vehicle for work
  • Emergency First Aid certificate with CPR
  • Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination
