About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate educator to join our team at the North Poplar Campus of the Abbotsford School of Integrated Arts. As a Learning Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment for students with diverse needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized learning plans to support students with exceptionalities
  • Collaborate with colleagues to integrate arts-based approaches into the curriculum
  • Provide social emotional learning support and guidance to students
  • Manage case loads and maintain accurate records
  • Conduct assessments and develop strategies to support student success
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A major or minor in Inclusive Education or Special Education
  • Practicum and/or work experience in Inclusive Education at the elementary level
  • Case management experience and training in Level B Assessments
  • Non-violent crisis intervention certification
  • Eligibility for B.C. Certification
