Job Summary

Red River College Polytechnic is seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our Financial Services Team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting the financial activities of our assigned schools and business units.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide financial analysis and budgeting support to non-financial leaders across the organization
  • Develop and maintain financial models and business cases to inform decision-making
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze data, and present findings and recommendations
  • Support the procurement process and provide financial guidance on special projects
  • Ensure consistent financial processes and procedures are implemented across the organization
Requirements
  • Canadian recognized Professional Accounting Designation (CPA) or senior level standing in the CPA program with equivalent experience
  • Excellent understanding and significant experience with full cycle accounting
  • Significant experience with budgeting, variance analysis, forecasting, and capital planning
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain financial reports and indicators to staff at all levels
  • Experience gathering and analyzing data, building financial decision models, and financial analysis to support decision-making
  • Ability to be detail-oriented and big-picture focused, with a solutions-oriented approach
  • Ability to work individually and as a team with limited supervision, under pressure, and within deadlines
  • Experience creating custom internal and external reports, and presenting to senior levels
  • Excellent abilities in Microsoft Office, particularly in Excel
  • Experience with integrated financial systems and financial software applications
Asset Qualifications
  • Experience working in accounting and finance for a large public sector organization
  • Development of metrics and performance indicators

  • This position may be required to work evenings and/or weekends
  • Incumbent must provide a current and satisfactory Criminal Records Check
  • May be required to work at various RRC Polytech campuses
