Lead Cost Accounting Specialist

As a Lead Cost Accounting Specialist, you will oversee the financial aspects of manufacturing operations within the organization. Reporting directly to the Regional Accounting Leader, your role will involve integration of acquisitions, standardizing processes, and reviewing controls to protect the company's financial integrity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee manufacturing financial accounting and cost management
  • Develop comprehensive management reports and operational documentation
  • Evaluate financial data for ledger entries and business activities
  • Facilitate monthly financial closures and reconcile general ledgers
  • Establish and maintain accounting and internal control measures
  • Optimize and manage the Chart of Accounts
  • Analyze and clarify variances against budget, forecasts, and standard costs
  • Collaborate with auditors to offer insights and recommendations
  • Perform additional tasks as required

Professional Experience
  • Solid understanding of IFRS standards
  • At least 5 years of accounting experience in a fast-paced manufacturing setting
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in cost accounting

  • Strong analytical and financial modeling expertise
  • Proven success in a high-performing accounting team
  • Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP is preferred
Educational Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business is preferred
  • CPA or equivalent professional designation
  • A combination of education and relevant experience will be considered
