Position Overview
We are currently looking for a Lead Cost Consultant to join our Cost & Risk Advisory team in the Americas Region. This role is essential to support the ongoing expansion of our Advisory Services.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with client authorities and project teams to assess project scope and implications.
- Conduct various analyses including cost estimation, scheduling, risk modeling, and constructability evaluations for a wide array of infrastructure projects.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and inefficiencies within construction projects, evaluating various construction methods and proposing effective solutions.
- Perform Life Cycle Cost Analysis and Cost Benefit Analysis for diverse assets.
- Engage with the construction industry to explore advanced methodologies for infrastructure projects, including rail, bridges, tunnels, highways, and buildings.
- Lead, mentor, and supervise a growing team of professionals.
- Act as the primary consultant interfacing with the market, fostering and nurturing client relationships.
- Serve as the Project Lead for multiple initiatives.
- Utilize various construction software tools such as HCSS, Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, Primavera, and Sage for analysis.
- Work collaboratively with engineers and consultants to assess the impact and costs associated with labor, materials, and other resources on projects.
- Develop comprehensive and detailed construction cost estimates.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 8 years of professional experience in the Architecture, Engineering, or Construction sectors.
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field within the Built Environment.
- Strong background in infrastructure project development, procurement, construction, delivery, and operations.
- Experience in risk management for significant projects.
- Proficiency in a technical or consulting area derived from professional experience, including design, construction, development, public sector, technical consulting, investment banking, or management consulting.
- Exceptional presentation and writing skills, along with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
