As a District Vice President of Sales, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a strategy to establish Manulife Investments in our sales channels. Your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Achieving aggressive sales targets and annual production goals
  2. Identifying and pursuing new relationships within the Financial Advisor network
  3. Providing new ideas to advisors to help them develop business
  4. Delivering advisor and investor seminars
  5. Working collaboratively with the Internal Wholesaler and Territory Coordinator to develop new sales
  6. Developing effective and professional working relationships with other Manulife field partners, including representatives from Manulife Investments, Professional Services Team and key partners in all Business Divisions
  7. Maintaining agreed-upon levels of face-to-face contact with the Advisors in the region and recording daily activities using the current contact management system
  8. Developing and sharing ongoing best practices, sales, marketing and business development ideas and strategies with peers and Advisors
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  1. At least 5 years of investment sales experience with extensive and thorough knowledge of Financial Services industry and capital markets
  2. Active participation in the sale of investment products through one or more of the following: IIROC channels, Broker/Dealer networks, Banks
  3. In-depth knowledge of mutual fund products, ETFs and segregated funds
  4. Successful completion of the IFIC mutual funds course or CSC
  5. Ambition and high organization skills
  6. Bilingualism in French and English
  7. Proven strength in:
  • Decision making
  • Project and business planning
  • Creative thinking
  • Interpersonal/communication skills
  • Listening, resolving conflict and presentations skills
  • Computer proficiency
  • All aspects of the sales process
