As a District Vice President of Sales, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a strategy to establish Manulife Investments in our sales channels. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Achieving aggressive sales targets and annual production goals
- Identifying and pursuing new relationships within the Financial Advisor network
- Providing new ideas to advisors to help them develop business
- Delivering advisor and investor seminars
- Working collaboratively with the Internal Wholesaler and Territory Coordinator to develop new sales
- Developing effective and professional working relationships with other Manulife field partners, including representatives from Manulife Investments, Professional Services Team and key partners in all Business Divisions
- Maintaining agreed-upon levels of face-to-face contact with the Advisors in the region and recording daily activities using the current contact management system
- Developing and sharing ongoing best practices, sales, marketing and business development ideas and strategies with peers and Advisors
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- At least 5 years of investment sales experience with extensive and thorough knowledge of Financial Services industry and capital markets
- Active participation in the sale of investment products through one or more of the following: IIROC channels, Broker/Dealer networks, Banks
- In-depth knowledge of mutual fund products, ETFs and segregated funds
- Successful completion of the IFIC mutual funds course or CSC
- Ambition and high organization skills
- Bilingualism in French and English
- Proven strength in:
- Decision making
- Project and business planning
- Creative thinking
- Interpersonal/communication skills
- Listening, resolving conflict and presentations skills
- Computer proficiency
- All aspects of the sales process
