Cummins Inc. is seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to join our team in the Timmins area. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch maintenance and repair services to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and related components at customer sites.
  • Engage with customers in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring prompt and efficient attention to their needs.
  • Apply specialized tools and follow documented procedures to diagnose and complete repairs, including identifying and preparing required parts and tools.
  • Perform preventative maintenance activities as per documented schedules and standards on engine and related components in the field.
  • Evaluate and escalate unresolved issues to more experienced technicians and/or supervisors.
  • Complete required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, and warranty claims.
  • Maintain service vehicles and tools for cleanliness and proper operation.
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Red Seal certification in Heavy Duty Equipment Technician.
  • Locally valid driving permit.
  • NORCAT certification an asset.
  • Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products.
  • Intermediate level of workshop-related experience required.
  • 310T/421A Red Seal Endorsement.
  • Nat Gas/EV training an asset.
  • Mining experience.
  • OEM engine specific training beneficial (Cummins Service Training/courses).
  • High Horsepower (HHP) experience- 19 liters and above.
  • First aid, working at heights, FIT testing.
  • Experience with Transit/Automotive on Highway, agricultural, mining, marine, PowerGen, Industrial.
