Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to join our team at Cummins Inc. in Mississauga, Ontario. As a key member of our distribution business, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient operation of our engine products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with customers in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Anticipate and respond promptly to customer needs, ensuring timely and efficient attention.
  • Diagnose and complete less complex repairs using specialized tools and documented procedures, identifying and preparing required parts and tools.
  • Perform preventative maintenance activities on engine and related components in the field, adhering to documented schedules and standards.
  • Evaluate and escalate unresolved issues to more experienced Field Service Technicians and/or Supervisor.
  • Complete required documentation, including service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims, and quality documents.
  • Identify additional service opportunities with customers and complete training in line with skill and business requirements.
  • Maintain service vehicles and tools for cleanliness and proper operation, ensuring adherence to Health Safety & Environmental policies, procedures, and legislation.
Requirements
  • 310T/421A Red Seal Endorsement
  • Vocational diploma from a relevant technical institution
  • Locally valid driving permit
  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Basic level field service work experience
  • Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products
  • Customer service experience
  • Nat Gas/EV Training and asset (TSSA Certified)
  • High Horsepower 19L and above will be given preference
  • Experience with Transit/Automotive, On-highway, Agricultural, Marine, and Industrial
