Overview of the Role as an Aerospace Maintenance Engineer - S License:

The candidate will hold a Transport Canada AME license, appropriately rated. You will assist and follow guidance from the Operations Supervisor to service, examine, inspect, and repair aircraft and their components. The AME must demonstrate a solid understanding of the AMO and its Quality Program and possess an ACA Authorization to sign off on maintenance releases for work performed on aeronautical products. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Executing work up to and including certification with approved processes.
  • Identifying and reporting any un-airworthy conditions discovered (including Service Difficulties).
  • Utilizing certified and calibrated standard measuring and testing equipment.
  • Familiarizing oneself with L3 MAS Policies and Processes.
  • Marshalling, fueling, and towing aircraft.
  • Maintaining a tidy work environment.
  • Taking responsibility for work as indicated by signature/stamp.
  • Performing repairs, modifications, and maintenance of aircraft in accordance with approved procedures.
  • Reporting any un-airworthy conditions identified.
  • Understanding the MPM and related processes.
  • Participating in the Safety Management System Program Committee on Aircraft, if requested.
  • Carrying out duties according to the relevant maintenance policy manual and ensuring compliance with Transport Canada regulatory standards.
  • Adhering to Occupational Health and Safety regulations at all times.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer-Structures program from a recognized Canadian institution.
  • Possession of a valid AME-S license.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and demonstrate strong organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to professional pride in ensuring that the final product meets or exceeds Transport Canada's/Manufacturer's standards.
  • Experience with the A310 and relevant endorsements is considered an asset.
  • A positive attitude and the ability to work well within a team environment.
  • Capability to be productive and manage multiple tasks in a demanding work setting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Government of Canada "Reliability" status and/or Level 2 (Secret) security clearance.
