Job Summary:

MAG Aerospace is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Pilot to lead our BBD-700 Fixed Wing operations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient execution of flight operations, while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and customer focus.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Flight Operations: Ensure safe and effective flight operations, including identification of aircraft maintenance faults and corrective actions.
  2. Safety Management: Complete and document all safety of flight documentation in accordance with industry and FAA standards.
  3. Pre-Flight Planning: Conduct thorough pre-flight planning, including aircraft pre-flight checks, coordination with Airborne Sensor Operators, and mission execution.
  4. Airspace Management: Monitor airspace, weather, radio communications, mission flight boundaries, and other air traffic.
  5. Coordination: Coordinate all flights with Fixed Base Operators, military range control, Air Traffic Control facilities, Primary Mission Equipment Operators, Mission Commanders, and Mission Coordination Services.
  6. Aircraft Operations: Operate modified Contractor Owned Contractor Operated aircraft in accordance with commercial and Host Nation regulations, and program policies and procedures.
  7. Leadership: Serve as a Lead Pilot and provide guidance and support to junior pilots.
  8. Crew Management: Emphasize crew member safety and customer relations.

Requirements:

  1. Experience: 4,500 hours of total time, 2,000 hours of Pilot-in-Command time, and 1,000 hours of multi-engine turbine time.
  2. Certifications: Current FAA Class II Medical Certificate, FAA Commercial Pilot or Airline Transportation Pilot license, and FCC Commercial Radio Operator License.
  3. Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent, and seven to nine years of related experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. US Military or Government Experience: Former US military or government law enforcement pilot.
  2. Instructional Experience: US military trained Fixed Wing Instructor Pilot, Maintenance Pilot, or Instrument Examiner.
  3. Overseas Experience: Prior overseas rotation experience, particularly in USCENTCOM/USAFRICOM/USAPACOM area of operations.
  4. USSOCOM Experience: Experience supporting USSOCOM in global operations.
  5. Aircraft Experience: Experience operating aircraft with a MTOW of 44,000 pounds or more.
  6. BBD-700 Type Rating: BBD-700 type rating.

Security Clearance:

  1. Clearance: Must possess an active Secret security clearance/TS preferred.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications:

  1. Medical Assessment: Candidates hired for this position will be subject to a post offer, pre-hire, pre-deployment medical assessment.
  2. Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen.
  3. Passport: Must possess a valid passport with at least six months remaining prior to expiration.
