Laboratory Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Laboratory Assistant to join our team at LifeLabs. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our specimen collection process.
Key Responsibilities- Greet and interact with patients in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring they understand the specimen collection process and any necessary test protocols.
- Perform phlebotomies, connect/disconnect holter monitors, and perform ECG tracings as required.
- Collect and prepare specimens for transportation and testing, adhering to strict quality control standards.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient information, test results, and specimen collection data.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, responding to inquiries and requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Completion of a recognized Medical Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent related experience.
- Previous training or experience in phlebotomy, intravenous infusion, and/or intravenous therapy.
- ECG training or experience is an asset.
- Proficient data entry skills and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on patient care and satisfaction.
