Key Responsibilities:

As a Medical Office Clerk, your duties will encompass a range of clerical and medical office tasks, including:

  • Patient registration, including appointment scheduling and confirmations
  • Handling phone inquiries, correspondence, record maintenance, and medical billing
  • Data entry, word processing, and use of graphic and database applications
  • Compiling and entering statistical data
  • Drafting correspondence, including recording and transcribing forms
  • Balancing and verifying revenue transactions
  • Managing medical and surgical supplies and equipment
  • Assisting patients to examination and treatment areas, ensuring readiness of necessary instruments and supplies
  • Supporting sensitive examination procedures and routine measurements
  • Cleaning and sterilizing medical instruments and managing supply delivery and disposal

Application Requirements:

  • Current Typing Test of 40 wpm or greater from a recognized institution, completed within the last 24 months
  • Medical Office Assistant Certificate
  • Valid BC Driver's License
  • Updated Resume
  • Cover Letter outlining your availability for a new position
