We are seeking a skilled Infrastructure Engineering Advisor to join our team. As a key member of our Wintel Platforms group, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our enterprise infrastructure.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and resolve operational infrastructure issues with ease.
  • Provide input on Wintel infrastructure assignments and projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Maintain Wintel incident management ticket queues, ensuring timely resolution and customer satisfaction.
  • Oversee the backup environment, managing jobs and schedules to ensure successful completion and quarterly restore tests.
  • Support the design, analysis, development, and implementation of Wintel infrastructure solutions for business projects and work requests.
  • Ensure operational documentation is up-to-date and accurate.
  • Automate repeatable operational tasks to improve efficiency and reduce errors.
  • Provide on-call support on a rotational basis, ensuring seamless service delivery.
  • Communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal.
Additional Tasks:
  • Participate in risk assessments and capacity planning, providing input on budget forecasts for specific projects.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for vendors, ensuring smooth communication and issue resolution.
  • Exercise creativity and judgment in conceiving, planning, and delivering initiatives that drive business value.
  • Advise functional leaders on technical matters, leveraging your expertise to inform strategic decisions.
Qualifications:
  • 2-3 years of experience in a Windows-based virtualized operating environment.
  • Proficiency with mainstream Windows virtualization technologies.
  • A customer-oriented approach, recognizing the importance of service-oriented technical support.
  • Microsoft-based certification required; cloud-based certification preferred.
  • Schedule flexibility to work outside of normal business hours to support production issues or project implementations.
Nice-to-Have:
  • English/French bilingual.
  • Experience with storage networks and storage systems.
  • Experience with Microsoft platform-as-a-service technologies.
  • Experience with Microsoft Virtual/Remote desktop infrastructure.
  • Certification or experience with Microsoft SQL databases and scripting.
