About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sawmill Supervisor to join our team at Riverside Forest Products (2018) Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our sawmill, ensuring that all systems and equipment are running efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Efficiency: Ensure that all systems and equipment are operating at optimal levels, and that regular maintenance and repairs are performed to prevent downtime.
  • Work Scheduling: Establish and manage work schedules to ensure that production targets are met and that all tasks are completed on time.
  • Team Coordination: Coordinate work activities with other departments to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and analyze production reports to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to increase productivity and product quality.
  • Training and Development: Train and develop staff in job duties, safety procedures, and company policies to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their roles effectively.
  • Safety and Compliance: Oversee the safety of operations and ensure that all staff are aware of and comply with company policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
  • Language: English
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week
