We are seeking a highly skilled Sawmill Supervisor to join our team at Dhaliwal Ventures Inc. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our sawmill facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Operational Efficiency: Ensure that systems and equipment are operating at optimal levels, and implement maintenance and repair schedules as needed.
- Leadership and Management: Supervise and coordinate the activities of 5-10 team members, including sawmill machine operators, and provide guidance on job duties, safety procedures, and company policies.
- Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and submit production reports, and analyze data to identify areas for improvement in productivity and product quality.
- Safety and Compliance: Monitor safety conditions and ensure that all team members are following established safety protocols.
- Training and Development: Provide training and coaching to team members on job duties, safety procedures, and company policies.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Language: English language proficiency.
- Work Environment: Ability to work in a noisy, dusty, and odorous environment.
