Senior Analyst, FP&A

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Analyst to join our team in Edmonton, Alberta. As a key business partner, you will be responsible for conducting financial modeling, measuring and analyzing performance, and advising management on resource allocation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain financial models to support business decisions
  • Analyze and interpret financial data to identify trends and opportunities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful budget execution
  • Enable business intelligence to deliver valuable insights and decision support
  • Track and analyze monthly and quarterly performance to ensure business partners are handling resources effectively
  • Assemble and review forecasting reports to inform business decisions
  • Drive P&L forecasting on a weekly, quarterly, and annual basis
  • Have a thorough understanding of internal and external drivers and be able to explain how they are impacting performance and trending
  • Work with the Accounting team on monthly and quarterly financial close processes
  • Lead monthly reporting to business partners on financial results and any necessary actions

Requirements:

  • CPA designation preferred
  • Experience in problem-solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Prior knowledge in Spreadsheet and ERP system
  • Understanding of Business Intelligence (BI) reporting tools required
  • Knowledge of variance analysis
  • Deep understanding of Manufacturing Variance
