Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Liaison to join our team at Fraser Health. The successful candidate will provide clinical expertise and support to our Mental Health & Substance Use programs, working closely with multidisciplinary care teams, practice leaders, and stakeholders to ensure high-quality care and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical advice and guidance to teams and stakeholders on mental health and substance use policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with care teams to develop and implement quality improvement initiatives and programs.
  • Conduct clinical file reviews and audits to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with residential service providers, Licensing, and other stakeholders to ensure effective service delivery and contract compliance.
  • Participate in contract reviews, quality improvement planning, and data collection and analysis to inform program development and service delivery.
  • Provide consultation and advisory services to community resources, such as residential service providers, on complex situations and issues related to mental health and substance use.
  • Develop and implement quality improvement processes and audits for Mental Health & Substance Use bed-based treatment and supported living programs.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Counselling Psychology, Social Work, Clinical Counselling, or a related allied health/social science/health discipline.
  • Eligible for registration with a relevant professional association.
  • Four years' recent related mental health & substance use experience, including clinical experience in mental health and substance use, contracted services, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Valid B.C. Driver's license and access to a personal vehicle for work-related purposes.
Skills and Abilities
  • Demonstrated knowledge of mental health/mental illness, principles, practices, and theories of social work, clinical counselling, or other health-related disciplines.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of psychopharmacology, crisis theory, and de-escalation techniques.
  • Working knowledge of DSM V Multiaxial Diagnosis and protocols.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Recovery Centered Clinical Systems, principles of psycho-social rehabilitation, and evidence-informed practices such as recovery-oriented practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to design, implement, revise, and participate in the evaluation of programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work in a continuously changing environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively as a member of an interdisciplinary team, including working effectively in a multicultural environment.
