We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Liaison to join our team at Fraser Health. The successful candidate will provide expert advice on social policy legislation, participate in program planning and community development work, and support regional contract performance activities for our Mental Health & Substance Use Bed-Based Treatment and Supported Living Programs.
Key Responsibilities- Collaboration and Consultation: Collaborate with multi-disciplinary care teams, practice leaders, patients, families, and other stakeholders to provide comprehensive care across the continuum. Provide clinical expertise and advice to MHSU teams, related programs, and contracted service providers on policies and procedures relevant to access and eligibility for Mental Health & Substance Use Supported Housing, Residential & Treatment program resources.
- Contract Performance and Quality Assurance: Utilize, maintain, and participate in the evaluation of work-related systems, tools, supplies, and equipment in the provision of care/treatment. Conduct clinical file reviews, program audits, client record audits, progress notes, and reports to ensure completion in accordance with established standards, policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Maintain ongoing documentation regarding contract performance and quality assurance.
- Referral Processing and Waitlist Management: Process referrals, including screening, matching, and waitlist management, as assigned.
- Consultation and Clinical Expertise: Provide consultation and/or clinical expertise/assistance to other healthcare/community resources and supports, such as Licensing, Assisted Living Registry, and PCQO, on topics such as investigations of contracted service providers or complaints relating to clinical, health, or safety service deliverables.
- Quality Improvement and Risk Management: Develop and implement quality improvement processes and audits for MH&SU bed-based treatment and supported living. Participate in risk management for the assigned portfolio by conducting safety audits, investigating and reviewing Serious Incident and other reports, and taking corrective action.
- Community Engagement and Collaboration: Participate as a member of local committees and planning bodies, attending meetings, providing input, and facilitating resolution of issues. Synthesize information and communicate site trends and emerging issues affecting provision of contracted services.
- Professional Development and Knowledge Sharing: Maintain broad development in Mental Health & Substance Use by reviewing literature in the assigned clinical specialty area, consulting with clinical and community experts, evaluating practice, and participating in research and professional development activities.
We are seeking a candidate with a Master's Degree in Counselling Psychology, Social Work, Clinical Counselling, or a related allied health/social science/health discipline. The ideal candidate will have four (4) years' recent related mental health & substance use experience, including clinical experience in mental health and substance use, contracted services, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
The successful candidate will possess a valid B.C. Driver's license and access to a personal vehicle for work-related purposes.
