Job Title: Registered Clinical Counsellor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Clinical Counsellor to join our team at Back in Motion Rehab. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality psychological treatment and counselling services to clients with PTSD and occupational trauma.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate education classes, relaxation training groups, and individual psychological treatment/counselling sessions within the context of the Occupational Trauma Program.
  • Develop and implement individual treatment plans, write reports, and liaise with stakeholders.
  • Work closely with our interdisciplinary team, including Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, Clinical Counsellors, and Kinesiologists.
  • Provide short-term psychological treatment/counselling and skills training to clients.
  • Conduct intake, progress, and discharge reports in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical notes and other records.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Clinical Psychology or equivalent.
  • Registered or eligible for registration with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors.
  • Excellent knowledge of the practice of counselling in a rehabilitation environment.
  • Excellent skills in providing short-term psychological treatment/counselling and skills training.
  • Knowledge of effective pain management strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a rehabilitation context.
  • Experience working with third-party providers.
  • Experience treating clients who have experienced trauma would be an asset.
