About the Role

Fraser Health is seeking a skilled Clinical Addictions Therapist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide assessment, intervention, and referral services for individuals struggling with substance use and addiction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify client needs and develop treatment plans.
  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions to support clients in achieving their treatment goals.
  • Collaborate with community stakeholders and partners to raise awareness about substance use and addiction.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Document and report client progress and treatment outcomes.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices in addiction treatment and maintain current knowledge and skills.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Social Sciences or a related field.
  • Three years of experience in addiction counselling, including group therapy and working with clients with concurrent disorders.
  • Valid Class V British Columbia driver's license and access to a personal vehicle for business purposes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
