About the Role

New York Steel Framing Ltd. is seeking a skilled Steel Stud Framer to join our team. As a Steel Stud Framer, you will be responsible for preparing layouts, measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools.
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
  • Fabricate and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
  • Schedule and coordinate work on sites.
  • Supervise other workers.
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various establishments.
Work Environment

This is a permanent position with a 40-hour workweek. The work environment is a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, with handling heavy loads and a large workload. The work is physically demanding.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience.
  • Commercial and residential construction experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
