Job Title: Outreach Worker - Overdose Prevention Specialist

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking an experienced Outreach Worker to join our Overdose Prevention Team in Vancouver's Downtown Eastside.

About the Role:

We are looking for a skilled and compassionate individual to work with individuals and families affected by substance use and overdose. As an Outreach Worker, you will provide support services, connect clients with community resources, and promote harm reduction principles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide support services to individuals and families affected by substance use and overdose
  • Connect clients with community resources and services
  • Promote harm reduction principles and educate clients on overdose prevention
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare providers and community agencies
  • Perform general clerical duties and participate in patient care planning
Requirements:
  • Diploma in Community Social Services or related field
  • 1 year of experience working with individuals and families affected by substance use and overdose
  • Valid BC driver's license and vehicle
  • CPR certification
