About the Role

Aon is seeking a seasoned professional to lead our Contract Surety practice across Canada. As a National Practice Leader, you will be responsible for managing and growing our Contract Surety portfolio, leveraging your expertise to deliver exceptional results for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute national business development strategies to cultivate revenue generation opportunities
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, underwriters, and industry stakeholders
  • Provide leadership and guidance to colleagues, ensuring seamless delivery of Contract Surety services
  • Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities, driving growth and expansion of our Contract Surety practice
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement innovative solutions for clients
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements, applying this knowledge to drive business growth and excellence
Requirements
  • Minimum 10-15 years of progressive experience in Contract Surety, with a strong understanding of the Canadian construction industry
  • Proven business development track record, with a focus on relationship-building and client acquisition
  • Exceptional leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and industry stakeholders
