Job Title: Telecommunications Line Technician

We are seeking a skilled Telecommunications Line Technician to join our team at E-NET SOLUTIONS INC.

Job Summary:

The Telecommunications Line Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing telecommunications equipment and infrastructure. This includes inspecting and testing cable signals, installing and maintaining aerial and underground telephone equipment, and repairing or replacing faulty cables and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and test cable signals and associated equipment
  • Install and maintain aerial and underground telephone equipment
  • Repair or replace faulty cables and equipment
  • Test equipment to locate transmission faults
  • Install trunking systems, circuits, and equipment
  • Complete and maintain test and service reports
  • Climb and work aloft on poles, ladders, or other support structures
  • Connect, disconnect, and relocate cable outlets
  • Install cable modems and software to enable Internet access
  • Maintain and repair aerial and underground transmission systems
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Willing to travel
  • Ability to distinguish between colours
  • Physically demanding
  • Steel-toed safety boots
  • Safety glasses/goggles
Work Environment:

The Telecommunications Line Technician will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, requiring attention to detail and the ability to work independently. The role involves working outdoors, at heights, and in urban areas.
