**Job Summary**
Volker Stevin Contracting is seeking experienced Heavy Equipment Operators to join our team in the field of Civil Underground Construction. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of multiple pieces of construction equipment.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Operate a variety of heavy equipment, including but not limited to, mainline hoe, side hoe, loader, cat, dozer, water truck, and digger truck.
- Perform daily maintenance and safety checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Conduct routine cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure smooth operation of equipment.
- Use heavy equipment to perform tasks such as fine grading, finishing, sloping, banking, backfilling, demolition, ditching, loading, excavating, and stockpiling.
- Assist in the preparation of work sites and equipment for construction projects.
**Requirements**
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 2-3 years of experience operating a diverse range of construction equipment.
- Valid Class 5 Operator's License and clean Driver Abstract.
- Knowledge of heavy equipment operation and maintenance.
- Knowledge of road construction materials, processes, and water and sewer installations.
- Knowledge of issues related to ground disturbance.
