Job Title: Construction Estimator - Civil Engineering Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team at CanWest Concrete Cutting & Coring Inc. As a Construction Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing estimates of labour and/or material costs for civil engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed estimates of labour and material costs for civil engineering projects
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements
  • Operate CADD and other computer software systems to analyze project data
  • Provide economic feasibility studies and preliminary estimates for proposed projects
  • Analyze tenders and recommend awards
  • Set up cost monitoring and reporting systems to track project expenses

Requirements:

  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years in civil engineering or equivalent experience
