Your Responsibilities

If you are enthusiastic about revolutionizing the creative process in Linear Content Production and Motion Design, Epic Games is looking for a skilled and inventive Tools Programmer to join our Virtual Production team. In this position, you will create state-of-the-art tools that improve both motion design and linear content workflows, playing a vital role in the advancement of digital storytelling. Your contributions will enable artists and creators, optimize workflows, and enhance the overall production experience.

Key Responsibilities Include
  • Enhancing the linear content production tools within Unreal Engine, focusing on shot management, asset management, and supporting editorial workflows.
  • Streamlining artists' workflows for lighting, layout, and animation.
  • Overseeing the development of our Motion Design feature set, which includes transition logic, playlists, cloners, and UX/UI.
  • Facilitating the integration of motion design and linear content creation tools with other components of the Unreal ecosystem such as Sequencer, Movie Render Queue, USD, Remote Control, nDisplay, and real-time graphics capabilities.
Qualifications We Seek
  • Proven programming experience, particularly in C++.
  • Understanding of Linear Content creation workflows.
  • Familiarity with Motion Design workflows.
  • Experience in UX/UI development.
  • Strong analytical skills and the capability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Proven ability to lead a team of developers.
  • Exceptional communication skills.

The anticipated annual base pay range(s) for this role are outlined below. Each base pay range is applicable only for individuals who reside in or are expected to work within the specified locale. Compensation varies based on numerous factors, including skills, competencies, qualifications, knowledge, and experience.
