Your Role
We are seeking a Senior Gameplay Systems Programmer who is passionate about expanding the capabilities of character movement within games. You will collaborate with others to shape the future of character interactions with various engine systems while navigating the game world. As a member of the Gameplay Framework team, you will be tasked with designing gameplay systems, APIs, and features within Unreal Engine that enable our partners to create the next generation of extraordinary gameplay experiences.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with colleagues to conceptualize and develop new features for the Mover Plugin Enhance and refine how Character Movement integrates with other engine systems, including AI, Animation, Physics, and Networking Tackle complex networking challenges related to movement Optimize existing systems for improved performance, scalability, and stability Foster collaboration with other teams within the Engine group to maintain a cohesive vision Analyze CPU and network performance issues to maximize the engine's potential for our partners Seek innovative ways to advance technologyQualifications
Proficient in C++ and knowledgeable in programming principles Strong grasp of networked game concepts and their relevance to character movement Experience in one or more of the following areas: AI, input, animation, or physics Ability to create robust, extensible, and maintainable systems Professional experience in developing AAA games or game engine technology Self-driven, with a strong work ethic and the ability to work autonomously Excellent communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to communicate fluently in English (both written and verbal)EPIC JOB + EPIC BENEFITS = EPIC LIFE

Pay Transparency Information
The anticipated annual base pay range for this position is detailed below. Each base pay range is relevant only for individuals who are residents of or will be expected to work within the specified locale. Compensation varies based on a variety of factors, including skills, competencies, qualifications, knowledge, and experience. In addition to base pay, most employees are eligible to participate in Epic's generous benefit plans and discretionary incentive programs.
