About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Cultural Liaison to join our team at Native Counselling Services of Alberta. As a Cultural Liaison, you will play a vital role in building and maintaining relationships with Indigenous communities, organizations, and individuals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with Indigenous clients to assess their needs and develop culturally sensitive support plans.
  • Liaise with community organizations, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Provide cultural awareness training and education to staff and community members.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of culturally responsive programs and services.
  • Collaborate with Elders and community leaders to ensure cultural sensitivity and relevance in all aspects of our work.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in a related field (e.g., Indigenous studies, social work, counseling).
  • Experience working with Indigenous communities and organizations.
  • Strong understanding of Indigenous cultures, histories, and experiences.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
