Job Summary

The School District #41 (Burnaby) is seeking a highly skilled Technical Support Specialist to provide technical assistance to staff end-users, create documentation and training materials, and deliver end-user training.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and update user accounts and network administrative systems.
  • Create, update, and close work order tickets; prioritize calls to other technicians as required.
  • Initiate and maintain the user database.
  • Provide leadership and technical training to staff as required.
  • Coordinate the posting of service notifications and information to district staff as required.
Requirements:
  • Graduation from a recognized university or 2-year technical program, including or supplemented by appropriate certifications, plus a minimum of four years related experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of computer operation and software applications related to work performed.
  • Thorough knowledge of desktop class hardware types and configuration.
  • Thorough knowledge of network operations, network operating systems, and applicable network software applications.
  • Valid BC Driver's License and vehicle for transportation between sites.
What We Offer:

This is a regular position working 40 hours/week. The compensation package includes a competitive hourly rate.
