About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Credit Analyst to join our team at Banque Scotia. As a Credit Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting the success of our Loan Review team by analyzing credit requests, evaluating risk, and making recommendations to ensure the integrity of our lending practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough credit analysis of loan requests to determine creditworthiness and risk
  • Evaluate credit reports, financial statements, and other relevant data to assess credit risk
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and issue resolution
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate credit risk
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory requirements, and best practices in credit analysis

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in credit analysis, risk management, or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work in a team environment and contribute to a positive and inclusive workplace culture
