Medical Site Lead

Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a Medical Site Lead to support Department Heads and Specialty Site Leads in ensuring medical staff compliance with Bylaws and Rules at the Aberdeen Regional Hospital.
Responsibilities- Ensure medical staff compliance with NSHA Bylaws and Rules.
- Bring forward issues and perspectives of Medical Staff to the Zone Executive Director.
- Serve as Physician Lead for Emergency Preparedness activities.
- Attend regular department meetings and committee meetings as assigned.
- Participate in monitoring standards, quality, and resource utilization of the site.
- Participate in clinical services planning for the Zone.
- Participate in recruitment and retention activities for the department.
- Participate in leadership development and lifelong learning.
- Address operational challenges with operational co-lead and stakeholders.
- Attend Access and Flow Network Council meetings and contribute to strategy development.
- Act as champion for promoting and implementing best practices related to access and flow.
- Develop and implement a plan to improve access and flow for the regional site and surrounding area community hospitals.
- Oversee the work of the Medical Education and Physician Advisor at the site.
MD licensed in Nova Scotia and privileged with Nova Scotia Health. Evidence of past and ongoing leadership training.
