Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialty Site Lead to join our team at Aberdeen Regional Hospital in the Northern Zone. As a Specialty Site Lead, you will be accountable to the Zone Medical Executive Director and will work closely with local physicians to ensure a high standard of patient care is maintained by the medical staff.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure medical staff compliance with NSHA Bylaws and Rules and Regulations.
- Bring forward issues and perspectives of Department Medical Staff to the Zone Executive Director and/or Zone Department Head for consideration and/or resolution.
- Serve as Physician Lead for Emergency Preparedness activities.
- Assist in managing site overcapacity issues from Department's perspective.
- Ensure service continuity through Department scheduling practices.
- Chair regular department meetings and attend other committee meetings as required.
- Participate in monitoring standards, quality, and utilization of resources of the Department.
- Participate in clinical services planning for the Department.
- Participate in respectful workplace responsibilities.
- Participate in recruitment/retention activities for the Department.
- Participate in new hire and onboarding processes.
- Lead the incident review process for the site.
- MD licensed in Nova Scotia and privileged with Nova Scotia Health.
- Evidence of past and ongoing leadership training.
Annual Compensation: $10,000
