Eastern Quality Assurance Lead
CIMS Limited Partnership is seeking a detail-oriented, people-focused leader to oversee all quality-related aspects of daily operations within the Eastern division.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that quality systems, processes, documentation, and skilled personnel consistently deliver outstanding results to both internal and external customers and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mentor, influence, and lead Regional Quality leads, Site Managers, and Job Superintendents in CIMS Quality Management System
- Lead and maintain CIMS Jurisdictional and Regulatory Certification requirements in the Eastern division
- Collaborate to develop and implement a Quality program that aligns with CIMS' strategic goals and enhances regional outcomes
- Identify, manage, and report Quality risks and opportunities
- Allocate Quality resources effectively to projects in a cost-efficient manner
- Integrate CIMS' Core Values into all business practices and demonstrate leadership that promotes safety, quality, customer value, and integrity
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- CWB Level 2 or higher
- Extensive knowledge of industrial codes and standards (e.g., AWS, ASTM, ASME, API, ISO, CSA, NACE)
- Nuclear experience and relevant certifications, with knowledge of Nuclear CSA and ASME codes and standards
- Able to perform, comply, audit, and make assessments of QMSs, with competency in inspection procedures
- Experience across multiple industries (e.g., pulp & paper, mining, oil & gas, Nuclear)
- Proven relationship-building skills with complex, large-company customers
- A driven, hands-on leader who leads by example
- Able to develop, review, and approve ITP and quality procedures
- Willingness to travel to regional offices and client sites
- Familiar with welding and NDE techniques
- Familiar with pressure vessels, piping fabrication, and testing processes
- Familiar with types of rotating equipment, assembling processes, inspection, and testing requirements
- Able to chair quality meetings
- Strong interpersonal skills and able to work well with people at all levels of the project
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Experience with or willingness to learn fact-based decision making and root cause analysis, including evaluation of supplier corrective and preventative actions
