Position: Security Operations Supervisor

Type: Part-Time Night Shift

Pay Rate: $20.81 /hr.

Job Responsibilities:
In this role, you will be responsible for conducting both proactive and reactive security patrols and responding to incidents during your assigned shifts. Your duties will include:
  • Writing detailed reports and investigating routine incidents.
  • Responding swiftly and effectively to emergencies.
  • Maintaining physical fitness to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Collaborating closely with the Cushman and Wakefield team to enhance the facility's security program.

Key Duties:
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and ongoing training to security personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with all standing orders and scheduled activities for each shift.
  • Oversee adherence to Paladin Security and site-specific security policies.
  • Plan and implement effective shift work schedules.
  • Confirm that all Security Officers have completed mandatory training.
  • Encourage staff performance and recognize achievements.
  • Address disciplinary matters when necessary, ensuring proper documentation is submitted.
  • Manage attendance effectively.
  • Conduct security audits and document incidents and complaints.
  • Perform proactive and reactive security patrols.
  • Communicate any concerns to the Client Service Manager.

Qualifications:
  • A minimum of two years of security experience in a leadership role is preferred.
  • Post-secondary education in a law enforcement or security program from a recognized institution is an asset.
  • Familiarity with the Trespass to Property Act and Mental Health Act.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and professionalism.

Prerequisites:
At the time of the interview, candidates must provide proof of the following:
  1. A valid Ontario Security Guard License.
  2. Proficiency in English (both written and spoken).
  3. A Vulnerable Sector Check.
