Job Title: Cardiac Sonographer
Job Summary:
The University Health Network is seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our team at the Peter Munk Cardiac Centre. As a Cardiac Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing echocardiograms on a complex patient population using state-of-the-art technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform ultrasound imaging procedures to aid in patient diagnosis and treatment
- Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain ultrasound equipment and instruments
- Prepare written and electronic reports to document procedures and test results
- Participate in teaching, educational, research, safety, and quality improvement programs
- Observe and understand hospital and departmental policies and procedures
Requirements:
- Completion of a recognized post-diploma Cardiovascular Principles and Instrumentation program
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
- Minimum of two years recent cardiac ultrasound experience
- Excellent problem recognition and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills
- Registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO)
- Registration with Sonography Canada or the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
