Job Summary

Advanced Care & Education Daycare Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Early Childhood Program Staff Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the development and well-being of young children in our care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Child Development Planning: Collaborate with early childhood educators to assess children's developmental needs and create personalized learning plans that cater to their unique requirements.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure the daycare equipment is well-maintained and in good working condition to provide a safe and healthy environment for children.
  • Program Support: Assist early childhood educators in implementing programs that promote children's physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development.
  • Record Keeping: Assist in maintaining accurate records of children's progress and development.
  • Creative Expression: Encourage children to express their creativity through various art forms, music, and physical activities.
  • Storytelling and Engagement: Engage children in activities that promote language development, such as storytelling, singing songs, and preparing crafts.
  • Personal Care: Guide and assist children in developing good eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  • Progress Reporting: Submit written observations on children's progress to early childhood educators or supervisors.
  • Staff Meetings: Participate in staff meetings to discuss children's progress and address any concerns.
Requirements
  • Interpersonal Skills: Possess excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with children, parents, and staff.
  • Communication: Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills to convey information and ideas effectively.
  • Interpersonal Awareness: Show a high level of interpersonal awareness to build strong relationships with colleagues and parents.
  • Work Term: Commit to a permanent work term with Advanced Care & Education Daycare Inc.
  • Work Language: Fluency in English is required.
  • Hours: Work a regular schedule of 35 hours per week.
