Job Summary

This is a senior leadership position within the Royal Bank of Canada's wealth management division. The Associate Branch Director will work closely with the Branch Director to oversee all aspects of the branch, including sales management, human resource management, operations control, and supervision of compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee overall branch profitability and meet strategic targets through effective sales management, human resource management, and operations control.
  • Provide leadership and support to Investment Advisors and support staff in hiring, training, and motivating.
  • Assess performance, provide developmental opportunities, coaching, and feedback as required.
  • Promote the firm's corporate image by developing and maintaining business relationships throughout RBC Financial Group and within the community.
Requirements
  • CSC and CPH certifications, with the ability to complete BM license within 3 months.
  • Retail brokerage experience with a minimum of 2 years of Investment Advisor experience or similar experience.
  • Post-secondary education (college or university).
  • Proven experience in leading a team, coaching, and developing and motivating others.
  • Demonstrated experience in dealing with ambiguity and managing multiple operations and servicing activities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to engage a diverse team that includes branch staff, middle office, and internal and external partners.
  • Experience in managing multiple priorities and dealing with challenging and sometimes complex situations to drive success.
  • Decisive and results-driven.
