Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Human Resources Administrative Representative to join our team at Federated Co-operatives Limited. This role will provide administrative support to the Human Resources department, focusing on benefits administration, pension administration, and employee services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer benefits plans for employees, including sign-on, retention, and termination of benefits, as well as long-term disability and life insurance.
  • Support pension administration, including qualification of pension for employees and administration of pension forms.
  • Collaborate with benefit providers and Federated Co-op to resolve matters and respond to inquiries.
  • Process payments for medical documents and facilitate employee programs, such as retirement recognition and milestone programs.
  • Provide administrative support for leave of absence tracking, reporting, and follow-up.
  • Assist with HR reports, including benefits administration and quarterly reports.
  • Support the Human Resources Advisory team and Talent Acquisition team as required.
Requirements
  • A Human Resources Certificate or equivalent education.
  • Minimum one year of experience working in Human Resources or an office setting.
  • Previous experience with employee benefits, pensions, and/or wellness, preferably in a unionized environment, is considered an asset.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and troubleshoot inquiries.
  • Experience dealing with confidential matters appropriately.
