Job Title: Nephrologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Nephrologist to join our team at SickKids. As a Nephrologist, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating patients with kidney diseases.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will have a strong background in medicine, with a focus on nephrology. You will work closely with our team of healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and treat patients with kidney diseases
  • Conduct medical research on human disorders, illnesses, and preventive or curative methods
  • Prepare research papers for publication and presentation
  • Study the nature, cause, and development of diseases and the structural and functional changes caused by diseases
  • Order laboratory tests, X-rays, and other diagnostic procedures
  • Teach students through lectures, discussions, audio-visual presentations, and laboratory, shop, and field studies
  • Direct research programs of graduate students
Requirements:
  • Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree
  • Completion of a nephrology fellowship program
  • Current licensure to practice medicine in the province of Ontario
  • Eligibility for Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Certification Examination
